NATURAL FEATURES The highest mountain on Miyajima is Mount Misen. At the summit there is a clear view of Hiroshima City and the view of the Inland Sea with its innumerable islets is incredibly beautiful. Near the summit are many Buddhist Temples and Kiezu-no-hi, a sacred fire which has been burning continuously for over 1200 years. Momijidani Park is a quiet park world famous for its beauty .It is located at the foot of Mount Misen and is connected by ropeway to the summit of Mount Misen. In Autumn it is a blaze of scarlet tinged maple leaves and in spring the cherry trees are in full bloom. There are also several well sign posted walks to enjoy.
