Itabashiku

Itabashiku is one of Tokyo’s 23 special wards. Johoku Chuo Park Johoku Chuo Park is a metropolitan park spreading from Nerima to Itabashi.  As it is shown in its name, the park is the largest comprehensive park in Johoku area.  It contains a great variety of sports facilities such as athletic ground and tennis courts, and it is know as a place of exercise as well as a place of recreation and relaxation. This site was one of the places created to prevent the damage caused by air attack from spreading, and it was facilitated as a comprehensive recreation park after the World War II.  In addition, archeological site was discovered within the park, and houses of Nara Period were restored.
